Our Story

A tradition that goes through time

Sessanea® is the arrival point of the work of generations engaged for over one hundred years in the sector of wines and spirits and who have obtained over time important awards also at an international level.

Sessanea® wines are obtained from vines with cordon training and guyot pruning, at a planting density of 5000 vines per hectare; certified organic agriculture, manual harvesting of the grapes with selection of the bunches in the vineyard and selection of the grapes on the sorting table. Natural fermentations and aging in steel tanks, barriques, tonneaux and large barrels. Refinement in bottle for at least 9 months before being selling.

This choice comes from the search for the highest quality of the raw material. In fact, when fermentation ends, the pomace is not pressed as usual to obtain more wine. This positively affects both the quality of the wine and that of the pomace which remains richer in ethyl alcohol and valuable aromatic substances. The quality of the marc is actually the first and most important factor for obtaining a good grappa.

Sessanea® regularly participates in local, national and international events. Since 2020, due to Covid, we have suspended participation in trade fairs and event. We look forward to starting over as soon as possible.
